Five new Coaldrake Awards conferred in Tasmania
ABM’s Supporter Engagement Coordinator, Meagan Schwarz, has recently returned from leading the ABM Bus Tour of Tasmania. During the tour which raised much-needed funding for AID’s Sustainable Development Program, five Coaldrake Awards were conferred by Meagan, together with the Rev’d Warwick Cuthbertson, Chair of the ABM Tasmania Committee.
The recipients of the awards were:
- Lesley Ririka. Lesley served as a nurse in Papua New Guinea for over 50 years, working for both Anglican church and government health services.
- Marion Iles. Marion served ABM as a teacher in Papua New Guinea between 1959 and 1962.
- Alan Bulmer. Alan also served ABM as a teacher in Papua New Guinea, but his service was during the 1970’s, from 1970 until 1976, prior to Independence.
- The Rev’d Brian Horwood. Brian and his late wife, Barbara, served ABM in various capacities in Carpentaria, Sydney and Tasmania for over thirty years, between 1962 and 1994.
ABM would like to express our gratitude to Lesley, Marion, Alan, Brian and the late Barbara for their years of selfless service to God’s mission.
