Climate Change Statement by Bishop Philip Huggins
“Crucially, cooperative climate action at COP29 is also action for peace”, writes Bishop Philip Huggins in a statement released by ACT Alliance recently about the annual Climate Change meeting which began in Baku, Azerbaijan yesterday and will continue until 22 November.
Bishop Huggins, a former Anglican Bishop of Grafton, is President of the National Council of Churches in Australia and a passionate advocate on Climate Change.
In a statement published by ACT Alliance, Bishop Huggins calls for an urgent phasing-out of fossil fuels by all countries.
