Anglican Alliance Appoints new Executive Director
ABM AID is excited to share the news that Mr Robert Dawes has been appointed Executive Director of the worldwide Anglican Alliance. He will replace current Executive Director, the Rev’d Canon Rachel Carnegie, in October this year. Rob is well qualified for the role of leading the Anglican Church’s Alliance for Development, Relief and Advocacy, as he has served for many years as Director of Development at Mothers’ Union, based in the UK. The Anglican Alliance “brings together those in the Anglican family of churches and agencies”, including those in Australia, “to work for a world free of poverty, inequality and injustice, to raise the voices of the vulnerable, to reconcile those in conflict, and to safeguard the earth.”
